Today I blessed a man of about 40 years, married with children - a very “masculine” man. He never knew his father. I explained to him, with my friend translating into Portuguese, that God always intended to bless children through the fathers, and when this doesn’t happen there is a void. I explained that I was simply an alternative gateway through which God could release the blessing that he missed out on - that I would speak a father’s blessing but that is was the presence and work of the Holy Spirit that would empower it.
